30 years Atanasovsko Lake reserve - the bird paradise of Bulgaria

On 13.05.2010, at 14:00 in the Natural-History Exposition of Regional Museum Burgas, an exhibition entitled "30 years Atanasovsko Lake reserve - the bird paradise of Bulgaria” will be open for the public. The exhibition is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the announcement for a nature reserve of Atanasovo lake. Part of the birds diversity crossing through the sky highway Via Pontica above Atanasovo lake has been captured in the photos of Konstantin Popov. Summary information about the life of these species accompanies the photographs and is going to enrich our knowledge of the bird life around us. The exhibition contains photographs of present and past, when the field station of the Bulgarian Ornithological Centre was first created. The enthusiasts have studied birds already at this time, using the only available methods to them and have entrusted to students all of their knowledge. Visitors to the exhibition can become familiar with the current state of the reserve and the possibilities to feel closer to nature and wild life of birds.
