About the Alphabet - Let us remember!
Friday, 23 May 2014 - Historical Museum
The Holly Bible is translated into Old Bulgarian as the third classical language in Europe after Greek and Latin in the middle of the 9th century.

Translations in the other European languages:
• In English, in 8-14 century.
• In French, the end of the 11th century .
• In German, in the late 12th century
• Polish in 12-14 century
• Hungarian in the late 16th century
• In Italian, in the 17th century

The Bible's English translations contain obvious traces of the Bogomil - Cathar doctrine. At first, Constantine the Philosopher and his brother Methodius translated the Book of Psalms and the Gospel with selected church services, Paterika and Nomocanona.
Scholars of Preslav school distributed Old Bulgarian translation of the Holy Scriptures in Russia, Serbia and other Slavic countries, also in some non-Slavic.
