Tuesday, 14 Oct 2014 - Global
Before one of the favourite holidays of the young people - Halloween, Regional Historical Museum - Burgas organizes a series of lectures, dedicated to one of the most popular topic lately - vampires, werewolves and all demonic beings who are the heroes of the modern movies, books and games.

Оur specialists will take you on a journey into the magical world of the supernatural. On the lectures you will be provided with information from archaeological surveys and Bulgarian folk mythology, in which these creatures are completely real.
Museum specialists will teach you about the old beliefs on the dark creatures, who were frightening people since ancient times. In fact, you will find out that vampires and goblins are an integral part of folk beliefs and legends that have been passed down over generations in Bulgarian lands since the Middle Ages.

Today the whole world is mad about vampires in popular culture and the name Bulgaria began to be perceived as their homeland. There are many examples: burials with traces of rituals against vampirism found in archaeological excavations and the most famous of them - the vampire from Sozopol; the Wallachian prince Vlad Dracula and the beautiful Katherina Petrova from the TV series Vampire Diaries.
