The exhibition "The Road to Freedom" is on display at the Historical Museum in Burgas

"The Road to Freedom" exhibition is on display at the 31 Lermontov St. in the Historical museum of Burgas on the occasion of the upcoming March 3rd holiday. Its main topic is the Liberation of Bulgaria and the Burgas region.

The exhibition gives information about the history of the Russo-Turkish War during 1877-1878, the battles at Pleven, Stara Zagora, Shipka and Turnovo, the formation of the Bulgarian militia, the liberation of Burgas, the "Flying Squad" of Colonel Lermontov and the establishment of the first Burgas Municipality. In addition, the windows showcase objects from the museum's fund related to the liberation struggles - decorations, certificates for carrying medals and personal belongings of rebels from the Burgas region.
