Burgas museums will work without a break in summer 2018

From 1 June to 30 September 2018, the four expositions of the Regional historical museum in Burgas will be open to visitors without a break. The summer working time will be: Monday - Sunday in the hours from 10:00 to 19:00.

During this period the Archaeological Museum (21, Bogoridi Street) will be hosting the exhibitions that were opened at the Museum Night. Among them are 4 golden exhibitions - Bulgarian women's jewels from the Middle Ages and the Ottoman period, Treasures of the Varna Necropolis, Thracian treasure from the village of Kralevo and The Golden Mask of the Thracian King Teres. Emphasis in the exposition is the unique icon of ivory found during the excavations of Rusokastro fortress.

The Historical Museum (31, Lermontov Str.) presents the exhibition "Bulgarian Saints", which shows 65 Bulgarians, canonized by the Bulgarian, Ecumenical, Serbian, Romanian and Russian Patriarchates.

This summer the Ethnographic Museum (69, Slavyanska str.) will dedicate to "The Entertaining Music of Burgas in the 20th century". The exhibition is characteristic for the city and its culture, which irrevocably connects with the "Burgas Evenings" under the sounds of classical hits from the Bulgarian pop stage.

This summer season will be the first working one for the renovated Natural History Museum (30, Fotinov St.). From 4 to 29 June there will be held the Summer Educational Program "Adventure in the Museum". For more information, please contact the museum at 056/84 32 39.
