The gold rings of Peter and Nikifor return to Aquae Calidae for the first time after their discovery

Two gold rings from the XIV century will be exhibited from June 1, 2016 in the exposition of tourist complex "Aquae Calidae". The unique artifacts were found during cleaning of the mineral spring in the Burgas district Vetren during 1910-1911. They represent 23-carat gold ring-stamps with which their owners - aristocrats from the highest ranks in Byzantium and the Bulgarian kingdom were stamping their correspondence. These elite findings are evidence of the life-dynamic and importance of Aquae Calidae Thermopolis during the Middle Ages.
