The photo exhibition "People of Strandzha" from 14 september in the Historical museum

The exhibition "People of Strandzha" will be opened on 14 September 2017 in the Icon Hall of the Historical Exposition of RHM Burgas (31, Lermontov Str.).

Photodocumentary was realized after the expeditions carried out in 2011-2012 in Strandzha villages Zvezdets, Gramatikovo, Stoilovo, Kalovo, Visitsa, Slivarovo, Brashlyan.
It is the work of the specialists of the Historical Museum "Prof. Alexander Fol" - Malko Tarnovo.

It is based on the collected archival materials, surveys, field surveys that aimed to establish the ethnographic picture of the settlements at the present moment. Traditional rituals, habits, traditions, etc., characteristic of the local population, have been studied. Another part of the exhibition is the existing temples and chapels on the territory of the villages. The icons are photographed, their architecture is studied, as well as the temple feasts and customs. The scientific expeditions were held jointly with the UNIBIT.

The 20 panels of the exhibition are complemented by Renaissance icons and church plate from the Burgas Museum Fund. The exhibition will remain in the Historical Museum in Burgas by the end of November.
