Konstantin Petkanov and his industrious and moral Thracians

On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, the Ethnographic Museum presented a new exhibition. It is dedicated to the thousands of Bulgarians from Thrace, Macedonia and Asia Minor displaced from their homes and forced to take on a bitter time as refugees. The dimension of this phenomenon, collected only in one sentence, became leitmotif of the exhibition: "The storm came with terrible force, uproot centuries-old Bulgarian families in Thrace and scatter around the free mother Bulgaria." These influential words belong to the writer Konstantin Petkanov, born on this date (12.12), who we want to pay deserved tribute today.
