Burgas archaeologists discovered medieval cobblestone road in the fortress Rusokastro over which walked Tsar Ivan Alexander and emperor Andronicus III Palaeologus

Exceptionally preserved pavement from cobblestones from the XIV century was discovered during the archaeological excavations of the fortress Rusakostro. Revealed were part of its entrance, west wall and one of the towers, which monumental construction has been preserved to a height of 3 meters. Archaeologists suggest that it was this 7-centuries-old cobblestones over which walked the Bulgarian Tsar Ivan Alexander and other kings and emperors .
