Happy 3rd of March - Bulgarian Liberation Day!

The Burgas museum workers welcomed a record number of visitors - 1218 people for Third March – Bulgaria’s Liberation Day. On the national holiday Regional Burgas Museum declared open doors day for all citizens and guests of Burgas, who were able to view the latest museum exhibitions. From the poll conducted among the visitors, it was concluded that the children liked the most the martenitsa exhibition and the Natural History Museum. Adults and grown-up students appreciated the large numismatic exhibition and archaeological valuables. In the History Museum, the exhibition on the Liberation of Burgas region continues to be on display.
Despite the frosty day and cold wind many families with young children, students and elderly people came to visit the museum expositions with a festive mood already at the early morning. Maybe because "Third of March" is not among the standard phrases for the meaning of freedom and in disputes was it the "Ottoman domination" or the "Ottoman presence", from which we’ve got liberated. The real celebration consists in the desire to go out among people, being one with all; in need to touch the past, the tradition, to the Bulgarian.
