Wikidazy in the Archaeological Museum in Burgas on 7 June

This Wednesday - June 7, the Burgas Archaeological Museum (21 Bogoridi St.) invites everyone wishing to create digital content in Wikipedia, on a free entry visit.

From 17:00 to 18:00, the museum trainees in "Digitization of Cultural Heritage" will explain how to create and edit publications on the internet encyclopedia, and for photographers - how to upload their photos. The idea is to enrich the information on the Internet about the cultural heritage preserved in the local museums. Reproducing it in digital form at different levels and languages will contribute to the international cultural exchange, enabling the exploration and promotion of Bulgarian history and culture as part of the world, while highlighting its uniqueness and significance.

Visitors with smart devices will be able to test QR codes placed in the central hall of the Archaeological Museum. They are designed to make it easier for guests to learn more or explain in a quick and accessible way certain historical concepts. The presence of digital technologies into the museum halls is a priority in the museum work seeking the help of young people.

The Wikiday is organized by the I.T. Department of the Regional historical museum Burgas together with the interns from the program of MES "Student Practices" and the Information Center of Maria Gabriel in Burgas.
