Exhibition in the Ethnographic Museum presents the diversity of Bulgarian aprons

One of the oldest and unchanging parts for Bulgarian folk female costume is the apron. It is a mandatory part of the traditional clothing. Full costume is impossible without an apron. This element is a convincing evidence of the ethnical culture of the population from different corners of the Bulgarian lands, which had a different historical destiny.

Nikolina Mancheva and community center "Hristo Botev 1928" from the village of Podvis, Municipality Sungurlare, have arranged an exhibition of aprons on the first floor of the Ethnographic Museum in Burgas. The colorful aprons are collected from all over Bulgaria, demonstrating the diversity of details and materials. Emphasis is placed on the skirts of the Bulgarians from Sungurlare and Karnobat.

The opening will take place on 12.10.2016 / Wednesday / at 16:00 in the Ethnographic Museum (Burgas, Ul. Slavyanska 69). Welcome!
