The "Navel of Burgas" is a decorative bronze plate embossed with images representing four of the city symbols - a ship, a laurel wreath, the trident of Neptune and fishes. Author of this project is the sculptor Radostin Damascus.
On 04 August 2011 the Navel of Burgas was placed in the middle of the compass on the central street of Burgas - Alexandrovska. Thus, this place marks the kilometer zero - point at which everything will be measured in the city, even with GPS navigation.
Municipality of Burgas calls the citizens to preserve the new symbol of the city.
