Exhibition The Bulgarian refugees in our memory Monday, 05 Dec 2016 - Saturday, 31 Dec 2016 Location: Ethnographic Museum (69 Slavyanska Str.)100 years later the refugee crisis again a topic of great importance for the Bulgarian society. We hear often comparisons between the refugees then and now. Answer to the question what are the similarities and differences between these two historic events, will be offered by experts from RIM Burgas through temporary exhibition about the life and fate of refugees in the early twentieth century. The preserved exhibits of costumes and decorations will demonstrate the diversity of their culture and the impact on shaping the ethnic composition of the population in the region. The exhibition will presented also the setting up of district Sarafovo and the refugee loan on 22/12/1926, which the Bulgarian country took to give land to the new settlers and build the so called Sharon houses in towns along the southern Black Sea coast.
