Burgas students will have the opportunity to experience the most popular technologies for processing clay from antiquity to the present day. The Archaeological Museum (Burgas, 21 Bogoridi St.) they will understand how it was decorated with different types of glazes by our ancestors.
On October 21 (Friday) at 16:00, the specialists from RHM Burgas Milena Damaskova and Ivan Arabadziev organize workshop "The Story of Ceramics". It will be conducted jointly with students from 7th grade in the Burgas school "Cyril and Methodius" during external hour of Fine Arts.
On 12.10.2016, the Ethnographic exposition of RHM Burgas (69 Slavyanska St.) opened the original exhibition "Bulgarian aprons". 45 aprons reveal the dexterity of Bulgarian women from different corners of Bulgaria - Karnobat, Pleven, Smolyan, Bansko, Burgas, Velingrad. Author of the exhibition is Nikolina Mancheva from the village of Podvis, connoisseur and guardian of Bulgarian traditions together with folklore group from Community Center "Hristo Botev - 1928".
The exhibition can be viewed until the end of November on the 1st floor of the museum.
Emphasis in the program of the roundtable was the digitization of museum collections with a focus on prevention of criminal offenses. Short presentations were made by Yani Tolev - head of Department "X-ray systems" in Customs Burgas, Nikolai Stoilkov - Head "Economic Police" in RDIA Burgas, Milen Nikolov - Director of RHM Burgas, Asen Petrov from CDCOC Burgas, prof. P Pavlov and Dr. Detelin Luchev from the Institute of mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The role of innovative technologies for the protection of cultural heritage is the subject that united the participants in the second part of the discussion. It was presented by Dr. Zhelev Yanislav of Burgas Free University and Radosveta Stewart from Regional Historical Museum Burgas. Moderator of the event was Prof. Sevdalina Turmanova - Deputy Regional Governor of Burgas.
Regional Academic Center - Burgas and Regional Historical Museum Burgas invite you on October 11, 2016, / Tuesday / at 10:30 am in Cultural Center Sea Casino to take part in regional roundtable "Innovative technologies for the preservation of cultural heritage" with a focus on the institutions responsible for its conservation in the Burgas region.
The event will be attended by specialists from RDMI, Customs Burgas, CDCOC, Institute of Informatics and Mathematics Academy of Sciences, RHM Burgas and others. They will give short presentations, after which discussion will be held.
One of the oldest and unchanging parts for Bulgarian folk female costume is the apron. It is a mandatory part of the traditional clothing. Full costume is impossible without an apron. This element is a convincing evidence of the ethnical culture of the population from different corners of the Bulgarian lands, which had a different historical destiny.
Nikolina Mancheva and community center "Hristo Botev 1928" from the village of Podvis, Municipality Sungurlare, have arranged an exhibition of aprons on the first floor of the Ethnographic Museum in Burgas. The colorful aprons are collected from all over Bulgaria, demonstrating the diversity of details and materials. Emphasis is placed on the skirts of the Bulgarians from Sungurlare and Karnobat.

On October 4 students and their teachers from Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy and Bulgaria visited the Ethnographic Museum and got acquainted with the Bulgarian customs, authentic traditional costumes of all ethnographic groups in Burgas region. Students from School Profiled for Romance languages "G.S. Rakovski" Burgas prepared a short program with French, Italian, Spanish and Bulgarian songs and presented attractively review of theatrical costumes from the early 20th century. The event is part of the European educational project Erasmus+ "The partnership between generations - ensuring a better success rate".

Due wide interest in the exhibition "Malaya Pereshchepina treasure" and "The Lukovit treasure" in the Archaeological Museum (Burgas, 21 Bogoridi St.), they will remain in Burgas until the end of October.
In the Historical Museum (Burgas, 31 Lermontov St.) visitors can learn more about the work of the holy brothers by visiting exhibition "Cyril and Methodius concept in Orthodox Christianity" until 30 October.
In the Ethnographic Museum (Burgas, 69 Slavyanska St.), the exhibition "Wood comes to life - zoomorphic motives in artistic woodworking from Troyan" can be seen for the last week. From October 12 on the first floor of the museum will be presented colorful samples of bibs from Karnobat and Sungurlare area.
Natural History Museum (Burgas, 30 K.Fotinov St.) remains closed due to repairs.
