The newly opened House of Writers in Burgas with a special space dedicated to Hristo Fotev

On 1 October 2015, the Day of poetry, the new Burgas House of Writers opened officially.

The most exciting place in the renovated house is a museum area dedicated to the legendary Burgas poet Hristo Fotev. Interesting photos, objects, various editions of his works, manuscripts, his typewriter recreate the creative atmosphere of an extraordinary man and a unique poet.

The Museum part was set up with the assistance of Yana Ivanova - curator at the Historical Museum of Burgas. The exhibits were donated by colleagues, relatives and friends of the poet.

Charity exhibition "Let's bring back Nina' smile" in the Ethnographic museum of Burgas

On September 29 (Tuesday), at 17.30 h, the Ethnographic Museum in Burgas will host a charity exhibition. It will consist of 15 exquisite female figures carved from wood, the funds collected from their sale will be given for the treatment of the 29-year-old woman from Burgas - Nina Usliyska, who suffers from cancer of the lymph and blood vessels. Money is needed for lifesaving procedures that have to be carried out in a specialized clinic in Istanbul.
The art works were donated by Georgi Yankov, who joined the campaign of the young woman's family: "Let's bring back Nina' smile."

For the sixth time Researchers Night in Burgas Museum

On September 25, 2015, RHM Burgas will participate once again in the European Researchers' Night. This major event is held simultaneously across Europe (including 300 cities). Project K-TRIO 2 is funded by the European Commission under the Marie Curie program "Horizon 2020".
The subject of this year' scientific café is "The role of museums in formal education - inspiration and motivation for scientists and academics." In Burgas the scientists will present 3 lectures: "History of Education in Burgas" and the future project - "Culture and art in aid of education: cross discipliner lectures - a new method for professional orientation of young people."
