The last public lecture for January from the educational program of RHM Burgas "Explore Burgas and Bourgas region" will present the European influence in the development of Burgas at the beginning of the 20th century. The author of the lecture is the main curator of the Historical Exposition Ivanka Deleva.

The lecture "European influence in Burgas in the early 20th century" will begin at 16.00 h. on January 29, Friday, at the Exhibition Hall of the Historical Museum in Burgas (31 Lermontov Street - entrance from Georgi Kirkov Street).

The lecture with presentation by Rositsa Topalova will take place on January 19, Friday, at 16.00 hours in the Exhibition Hall of the Historical Museum in Burgas (31, Lermontov Str.).

In the first public lecture of the educational program of Burgas museum "Explore Burgas and the region" will be presented interesting facts about the flora of Strandzha. The mountain and its adjoining Black Sea coastline are among the most interesting floristic areas of Bulgaria.

The total number of plant species in Strandzha Mountain is about 1670 - over 44% of the species of higher plants in Bulgaria. Natural forest vegetation is well preserved and unparalleled in the country.
Many other little known facts about the wild vegetation of Strandja will be presented on January 12, Friday at 16:00 h. in the Exhibition Hall of the Historical Museum in Burgas (31 Lermontov st.).

An impressive ehxibition of 3D models of sunken ships, interactive map of the bottom of Black sea with disapperead objects and interactive games for children-explorers are some of the events, that Burgas will be presented during its hosting - part of the European Presidency Program.

Most of the events that will be held in Burgas are dedicated to the Black sea and the region - "The European day of the sea" on 31st May - 1st June.

The Exhibition "19th Century Luxury" will be shown in Kazanlak

One of the most successful mobile exhibitions of Burgas Museum will be in Kazanlak this winter.

Two days before Christmas - 23.12.2017 (Saturday), the exhibition "19th Century Luxury" will be opened in the multimedia hall of the Historical Museum "Iskra" - Kazanlak. The exhibition is a result of the joint project of Regional historical museum - Burgas and Regional historical museum - Rousse.
The exhibits are part of the collections of luxury objects, which RHM Burgas in 1996 and 2000 after their detention by Customs Burgas, in an attempt to smuggle cultural heritage through the territory of Bulgaria. In the period 2008 - 2016 the objects are included in the exhibition "Donated and Rescued Treasures", which for years enjoyed high visitor interest in the hall of the Historical Exposition in Burgas on 31 Lermontov" St.
The "French Collection" received in the museum in 1996 includes 13 desk clocks, 32 pcs. vases and 11 pcs. candlesticks, lampshades, chandeliers, silver trays, silver liquor service and a boudoir. In 2000, they were detained at the Customs and sent to the Museum, the "Romanian collection", which contains paintings, picture frames, mirrors, carved chest and workshops made in Austro-Hungarian Empire and Italian studios and part of the interiors of European homes from the early 20th century.
"The 19th Century Luxury" presents the trends and ideas in art from the time of the European Enlightenment, the changes that followed the Industrial Revolution in England, the modernization and development of creative images in the 19th to the early 20th century.
For more than three years now the Regional Museums of Burgas and Rousse have united around the topic "The 19th Century Luxury". Thus, the Burgas collection of "rescued treasures", in the form of a mobile exhibition, reaches an wider audience.

A joint exhibition of the Burgas cultural institutions presents a "Return to the Old Burgas"

An attractive exhibition will recreate the authentic atmosphere of Burgas city from a century ago. The exhibition "Return to the Old Burgas" is a joint project of the Cultural Center Sea Casino, Regional Historical Museum Burgas and the Regional Library "P.Yavorov".

At the exhibition, Burgas will be presented with its authentic atmosphere from a century ago.The exposition "Return in the old Burgas" is dedicated to the city celebration on 6th of December - St.Nicolas' day and will be opened on 6th of December, from 11:00 AM , in hall "Aleksandar Georgiev Kodjakafaliyata", in Cultural Center "Sea Casino".

Exhibition will be available until 26.01.2018, from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
