Burgas again hosts the international forum "Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage"

From 23 to 25 September 2021 for the fifth consecutive year Burgas hosts a prestigious scientific forum on the problems of digitalization of cultural and scientific heritage. The event is organized by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, under the auspices of UNESCO and with the assistance of the Municipality of Burgas and the Research Fund. Co-organizers are the Regional Academic Center of BAS-Burgas, the Regional Historical Museum-Burgas and the Burgas Free University.

The Eleventh International Conference "Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage" - DiPP2021 "has become over the years an iconic event and regular meeting where scientists from around the world present their scientific and applied achievements, innovations, projects and developments in the field of digital documentation, archiving, presentation and preservation of world and national tangible and intangible cultural and scientific heritage. Due to the restrictions related to KOVID-19, the forum is held in a hybrid way - online for international participants and present in the new modern building of the Regional Library "Peyo Yavorov" - Burgas.

* Virtual Folklore 3D Museum - Burgas (experimental environment for storage, retrieval and curation of data in the field of humanities and social sciences);

* Three-dimensional historically connected significant complexes, bearers of culture and art from the Revival: church and monastery complexes - architecture, frescoes, iconography.

The program and the scientific research and results presented at the forum are published in the referenced and indexed in Web of Science and Scopus edition, available online at: http://dipp.math.bas.bg.

The event is part of the European Night of Scientists in Burgas and the European Heritage Days.
