What are the poisonous snakes in Bulgaria, learn at the Natural History Museum this Saturday

The educational program of RHM-Burgas continues this Saturday, October 27, with the lecture "The Poisonous Snakes in Bulgaria". Author is the biologist-curator Bozhana Ribarova.

A popular fact is that in Bulgaria most snakes are not poisonous. The topic of the lecture is precisely the few poisonous species that we can encounter in nature, and only during the warm months of the year. Two of the species - steppe viper and aspida, are even considered to have disappeared from the territory of the country and have not been seen for many years. Biologists emphasize that the snake would not attack a man if not irritated, and advise them to be overlooked. It is good for people to wear appropriate shoes and socks when walking around nature, and be careful not to stand up on the reptile accidentally while it lays on the sun.

The lectures in the renovated Natural History Museum in Burgas (30, K. Fotinov St.) are every Saturday at 11.30 h. The entrance fee is preferential - for adults 2 BGN and for students and pensioners - 1 BGN.
