On July 3, the European Night of Museums returns to Burgas



On July 3 (Saturday) Regional History Museum Burgas, again joins the European initiative "Night of Museums". The expositions of RHM-Burgas will offer its visitors a diverse program of exhibitions and events, which can be viewed from 18:00 to 00:00 with free admission.

PROGRAM:

ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM (12-14 Knyaz Alexander Batenberg Street)

The opening will be in the yard of the Ethnographic Exposition from 18:00 and will be presented Lyulyakovo songs and dances from the Community Center "Prosveta - 1929", Lyulyakovo. Lyulyakovo village is a village with a rich history and culture, a village that has preserved the spirit of the past and successfully passed it on to future generations. The ensemble for authentic folklore at the community center has won many awards from festivals and fairs, presenting typical customs of the village - "Medenik", "Drilling through a shirt for health", Zagovezni and many others.

Visitors can see the permanent exhibition of the Ethnographic Museum, presented in a new and attractive way and take a picture behind a screen in one of the dresses of Dora Popova, a famous actress and dancer from the 30s and 40s of the XX century.



HISTORICAL MUSEUM (on Lermontov Street) № 31

In the Historical Exposition the visitors will be able to get acquainted with the history of the city and the region from prehistoric times to the time of socialism. In the icon hall you will be able to see the rich collection of samples of Christian art. In the hall "Donated and saved treasures" - part of the permanent exhibitions of the museum, are exhibited valuable examples of applied art, showing the power of fashion trends in the XIX century - candlesticks, figurines, utensils, furniture, sculptures.

The construction crafts in the Balkan Mountains are presented in the hall for visiting exhibitions.

The focus will be on a thematic talk related to Bulgaria's first Tulan radio factory. Founded in Burgas in 1927 by Eng. Svetozar Prenerov, the factory soon established itself on the Bulgarian and world markets. In RIM-Burgas are stored two radios of the brand "Tulan", as one - the most popular model, as well as advertising brochures of the factory can be seen displayed in the windows of the Historical Exposition.



NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM (30 Konstantin Fotinov Str.)

In the only Natural History Museum in the region of the Southeast Black Sea Coast, visitors will be able to see the geo-historical development and modern natural diversity of Southeastern Bulgaria. In the new permanent exhibition, the inhabitants of the World Ocean are presented. The exhibition shows the great biodiversity in the seas and oceans, which, however, is also highly endangered by human activity. You will be able to see some of the largest representatives of sea snails, as well as some of the most tender and beautiful.



ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM (21 Aleko Bogoridi Blvd.)

The permanent archaeological exposition presents in chronology the earliest history of the lands around the Burgas Bay from 6 thousand BC. to the Middle Ages. Curious for the visitors are the finds from the sites, which the Burgas archaeologists have been studying in recent years. The newest are those from the ritual complex from 6-4 century BC. from Izgrev district and from Cape Chiroza, Kraimorie district. "Silver of the Thracians" is the exhibition of the National Archaeological Institute with a museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, exhibited in the "Vault" hall. Until the end of October, visitors will be able to see these originals - vessels for ritual drinking of wine, jewellery, applications for horse ammunition - selected from various treasures found in our country from the late XIX to early XX century.
