Rediscover the diversity of the spring holidays with a free lecture at the Ethnographic Museum

Welcome this Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Ethnographic Exposition on 12-14 Knyaz Alexander Batenberg Blvd. to hear a free lecture about the most beautiful and cheerful spring holidays Saint Lazarus Day, Palm Sunday, Easter. The title is not randomly selected and covers the diversity of the spring holidays until St. George's Day. The topics are presented in an understandable way, and the conversations with the guides are part of the experience. We have prepared coloring materials for the youngest visitors, and anyone can buy our educational aids - "Ritual calendar for girls and bachelors". The publication is designed for children from first to fourth grade and aims to introduce readers to some of the most -the beloved Bulgarian customs in the form of role-playing games, coloring pictures and songs.
Against the background of the beautiful Lazarus costumes from our region, we will talk about what traditions people have observed in the past on these holidays, is there a difference in celebrating them in different villages, why they brought prosperity to the whole community. The talk is free, only the entrance fee is paid. We are expecting you.
